Dr. Paine has extensive experience working in the field of acoustic ecology, where he has applied his technical skills to record and refine reproducing ecological acoustic signals to measure and monitor natural habitats. He has also applied machine learning approaches to study sound diversity in natural soundscapes. Of special interest to our team, Dr. Paine has produced small microphones that record sound in programmable clips onto miniSD chips. These devices will be deployed in the Limelights.
